111-2 How to teach international students? "Watching Videos and Talking about Culture - Japanese Session" Teacher workshops start now!
The teacher workshop "Watching Videos and Talking about Culture - Japanese Session" was held on March 10. Professor Huang Huiging from the General Education Center, Airi Nishimoto from the Department of Finance, and Aika Urayama from PMP6 shared Japanese culture with everyone through the video.
First of all, Professor Huang Huiqing let us know from the first movie "The Emperor" that the Japanese do not like direct expressions, but attach great importance to the harmonious atmosphere and solemn ceremony. In the second movie "Always Happy Sanchome" In it, we can realize that Japan's traditional belief is polytheism. There are Shintoists, Buddhists, Christians, Catholics and other religions. Japan is really a country of diverse beliefs!
Then, two international students from Japan, Nishimoto Airi and Urayama Aika, shared the recent Japanese thoughts on foreign languages and the cultural differences between Taiwan and Japan. Airi first mentioned that Japanese people still lack confidence in learning to speak foreign languages. Hope all teachers can give more encouragement to international students. Then Ai Jia found that she is not used to when she came to Taiwan is that Taiwanese people will ask "蛤" when they don’t understand clearly, but in Japan "蛤" is a word used in quarrels. So suggested that when you don't understand, you can say "嗯?" or "ㄟˊ".
We hope that through the sharing of Japanese students today, teachers not only know more about Japanese culture but also give more encouragement to international students so that they can learn Chinese more confidently.
